I would recommend doing the following:

Research the college ahead of time, decide what you like and don't like, and determine what you want to learn more about

If possible, schedule a meeting with a financial aid officer

Try to set up time to attend a class or club meeting that interests you

Take lots of notes and pictures so you can go back and refresh your memory at a later date...after many campus tours they begin to run together in your mind.
